well i hope this is the right forum for it..though i aint too sure


so heres the thing,i downloaded and unzipped shuttle launch and crazy house maps(among other maps but i havent downloaded all yet...so this prolem might reoccur..then i will post it here)
both of these maps are shown as black in that small map selection box(like microbunker, but that map works) and when i try to play them..it says
1.for shuttle launch:failed launching URL can't find file for package 'rage-shuttle' [also i think for this one the problem is that i dont know where to put that rage_shuttle.utx file]
2.for crazyhouse:failed launching URL can't find file for package 'reivnax-toys' [for this one i think the problem may be that when i downloaded this map,there was only one file..it was .umf file]

There are 2 files inside the zip that you need to extract and copy to the following folders:

    * MF-ShuttleLaunch.umf  --> [HD]:/MobileForces/Maps/
    * Rage_shuttle.utx -->  [HD]:/MobileForces/Textures/
(Exchange [HD] with your local installation path).

Crazyhouse is a sequel to he map MF-ToysBeta.zip
Download and install that map aswell and you´ll get the missing .utx file. =0)

and another different problem...
in france and newfield...when i start the game there are no weapons in loadout screen!(though i can pick weapons of dead bots)...also the modes like holdout(i didnt try the other ones) dont seem to work..i even went to the place where the yellow triangle was there on the wall in newfield i think(a long tunnel with holdout place similar to carpark)...no holdout pyramid was there!

so when they r finished this problem will be fixed by downloading a new version?

another problem..i downloaded xa0smappackv2-fixed.zip ...and i wonder..is xavier-mappack1.zip version different?

also..the game has suddenly shut down a couple of times after i hav installed those maps....no message or anything..just a sound like a chime.
maybe it was coz i played holdout on a map which doesnt support tht version but the chances of tht r slim.

ps.by the way.. to the guys who helped make all the maps i hav seen so far...man those maps r amazing!!!!!!gr8 job.

Well, as you can see for yourself all those map are made by players devoted to the games, so they are not 100% bugfree, but they are provided FREE "As IS". There won't likely be anymore updated to the existing maps. There is too little activity playerwise too waste time making maps that won't be used. Sorry, but thats the reality.

If you want to play against a human sometimes then please add me on msn? I can kick your ass.

I can't recreate the error. I just download the map and extract it to /mobileforces/maps. No .utx file is needed.  huh

maybe i deleted some file accidently???
the problem is with oldprison,express delivery maps only....so i dont think i accidently deletd some files..hmm

also the only .utx file i have starting with e is eXtreme

I got these editor related files in my system folder.

Editor.dll
Editor.log
Editor.ini
Editor.u

I have a slight suspicion that the ones fixing the express map has used textures from the editor but forgetting to ship the texturepacks with the map, that would make the game look for textures in the editor and if you don't have the editor installed, it can't be found-
This is just a theory though..

Sorry to hear about your problems. I am the Developer of France and Newfield.

France will be fixed, I usually work on the physics and make it stable first for testing only then add the load parameters.

Deathmatch should be OK on both maps with humans, and basic AI support in Newfield. I kinda' axed Newfield because I smashed my head against the Engine's limitations. It's simply too big.

I will release the map (stable) once cleaned up.

There will be a surprise release coming for Feb 27 (nice and stable too), oh and yes, it has moving parts...
Hmm, not much of a suprise now.


So if you guys wanna be in the map, textures, names graffiti, etc. PM me the pic, and I'll patch something in.
