After putting the game rebuild on hold, I have absorbed a few texts on the editor, and am now a novice on the subject. I am currently working on a french village, with wine cellars and old style french buildings (ca. 1940) etc. Unfourtunatly (being a novice), I'm a little stuck for ideas, like the name MF-France, it's a little vague, any ideas?...

..Zoning and various other actors are still a bit of a mystery too.

After reading Mottyman's post on the Backwards Detonation, I think that this is pefect for a french map, with the Blues (Maquis) detonating the Red's (Germans) checkpoint stopping supply trucks. The Blues detonate and the Reds defend, just an idea.

I have a beta ready, but don't know what to do with it as I can't find any "Upload" section.

For now, I've stuck it on the Internet Archive.

I also renamed it to beta1 in case you decide to release more beta versions so people won't get confused. it should finish uploading in about 2 minutes from now

I think that there's a door texture I used from xCityPack, it's on mobileforces.org/files somwhere. I have also found that it only works if you have the knife fight mod installed too (I think it's something to do with 'map rotation'),  did you see the screenshots?

that looks nice but one thing, the roads look empty, look at warehouse, in the road there's spools of wire and crates and things like that.

I think you're absolutly right. I've started getting textures for stuff like Axis weapon crates with a "Rage.Inventory" type and I put a smoking impact crator in the middle. I don't know if your have the underground Dominate sewers on your copy; but I thaught it went well.

I'm currently trying to rope a freind of mine onto the clan (He's a vet UT mapper and SCRIPTER). Looking at a type of Mental Race, sort of a stop the convoy of German truks and other WWII stuff.

Dont worry, the project hasn't been abandoned, I'm still waiting on photographs from my Mom's trip to France, so I can start throwing in real decent textures.

Great, thanks -=UMF=- Axi, that's what we want to hear, I'm currently filling it out a little after some advice from Andy, but it basically looks the same. Not too bad for my first map (couldn't have got this far witout MobileForces.org - my work is a tribute to a great game and a great site).

I have nearly finnished Beta2
