a. Why should I release the stuff which I started and not finish?
I see no point on releasing it. Master Server is gone, and like less then 2% of all the online players know the tool gamespy arcade, 98% DONT!

b. I said my opinion about the site.. and all you people respond, is negative stuff. Ok natcher did great work, no problem with that.. its just toomuch on 1 site.

c. why make a mod/map/etc? its just waste of time. 1. all you get is negative stuff. 2. no one plays it. (why make it?)

a) i'm not saying that you should release stuff you haven't finished, i'm just saying that other people do, and it gives the sense that things are being developed behind the scenes. this community is so small, that i think something would be better than nothing at all.

as some examples. i agree that 98% people don't know gamespy (although i'd say more like 2/3 since there are so few people), but how is that stopping you from releasing something you haven't finished?

those maps up there are all unfinished... why do you think the authors decided to post them? would you rather feel that all the work you put into making the map would be total a waste, or would you rather post it and show people what you have accomplished? unless of course you haven't been working on anything at all....

b) although you deleted your said opinion of the site already,i can honestly say that i've clicked everyone one of those buttons more than once. the gallery, files, and svr.cgf are all good ideas. the only thing i'd get rid of would be irc and ms messenger. i don't think it's too much stuff for one site, not even for newbies. once someone types in http://www.mofo.org, just click "community forums" and there they are, able to read the forums. newbies to a site don't spend time reading every single little button, they get in, get what they need, and get out. but if they do want to come back, then they will have something to explore rather than just a "splash page"

c) 1) i can't answer your question of why *you* should make a map/mod, but why *i* wanted to make a map was because i wanted to create something for the community. and hey, if they didn't like it, i wouldn't give a flying fzck. i would say, "hey! you try and do better than me!" and they would probably just shutup, or even better, they would actually do better than me.
   2) if the map is good, people will play it. the only reason people haven't been playing *good* custom maps like shuttlelaunch.mf is because no one hosts it and if they do, no one wants to spend time to download/upload the 10+ megs.
however, people will appreciate it if the map is good.

it seems that your main problem here is that there are no people that will play your map/mod. which is a result of this community being so small. if you want to reach a lot of people, then map for ut or 2k3 and post it on nalicity and see what seasoned reviewers think of your maps.

you won't get famous by modding/mapping for this game, which seems to be your main goal.

How about trying this on for size Xavier, I'm sure your mother must have taught you this somewhere along the line...  If you don't have anything nice to say, don't say anything at all!  But since you won't let things be.  Let me respond to your post and no it's not necessarily a point to point response:

1. If you don't want to make things for MoFo... don't.  If you don't want to release things for MoFo that you have created.... don't.  I for one am sick and tired of the threats.  People have used what you have created... and have been quite open about thanking you and telling you how much they like/appreciate those things.  What do you expect for all to Hail to Xavier?  Give me a break man!

2. If you don't like how Natch has HIS site... too bad, make your own site if you think you can do better.  But answer me this... how can the ONLY true Mobile Forces site have too much?  That statement honestly makes no sense.  

3.  Funny how you can respond to other peoples' posts and say anything you want (negative and rude comments included)  but no one can ever say anything to you...  I've never been a fan of someone who can dish and not take.

So in closing may I say, if you want to take your toys and leave then good riddance, I for one am sick and tired of the constant whining and threats.  Besides, where do you get off thinking people have to do everything you say, that your opinion is the only one that matters, or anything even remotely close...  people like you never cease to amaze me.

WTF??  Whose site is it if not Natchers?  Does anyone else pay for one single thing here other than him?  No.  Any reasonable adult would tell you that makes it HIS site.

Hack the forum... don't even go there.  And if you'd like to, we know where you are too don't forget (all IPs are logged when you visit).  But serious consequenses can be suffered for hacking and threats of it.  Don't think your ISP would look kindly on being informed of hacking activities by YOU.  So this threat is ridiculous!  If anything happens to the site now, who do you think we'll look to.  

Why delete your name Xavier if you don't want to visit and post, don't... it's really simple enough.  No one was trying to hurt your feelings, but you've opened yourself up to these comments by your own actions.  If you don't like the way people speak to you, maybe you should pay closer attention to how you speak to them.  One thing in life that you'll learn eventually I'm sure is that you get what you give.  You give people shite and you'll get it back...  pretty simple concept.

To be honest I find this all very ridiculous. If I remember how this started it was a post of negative comments made by Xavier. Its definitley been blown out of all proportion, and now look at the mess.

This could of all been avoided quite easily with simple PM's to either Natcher or one of us MODs but nope... to easy

I'm not too sure why this all happened in the first place obviously someone took offence to something. On that note I'd like to offer myself as  'Forum Counciller' and if anyone has any problems to email or PM me , and we can sort silly things out, to avoid situations like this again !

Xavier, I cant believe for someone that has given quite a lot for one game and one community that you said such a stupid thing and practically threaten us. If this was my site I'd tell you now, you'd have your ISP on the phone cancelling your account!
You have always been rather immature but the game is for all ages and I thought that we accomodated for all ages but it would appear you have fallen between the net.

Games and forums are meant to be fun. If this is not the case then I would have to agree that its time to move on. Maybe this could of been done with a whole lot less fuss.

i have to agrre with marty and frag-girlie.....i am in the game playing EVERYDAY ....AT ALL HOURS OF THE DAY...i mean come on now ...i was on at 3am East coast us time, and at 11 pm and i am always on in the afternoon ....i think i am on the game more often than most ...but you Xavier, you were the one that thought you were king. as i had said in this post "http://www.mobileforces.org/forums/showthread.php?threadid=1405&perpage=15&display=&pagenumber=2" the bottom line is ...it is people like you that kill games...you think people owe you something when they don't, and to tell you the truth, if i were natch i would be done with this and have already turned your ip in to your isp. the threats of hacking and subterfuge is just as much a crime INTERNATIONALLY as it is if you had done it.....you really have turned into a lamer.

There are a couple of points I'd like to raise with you Xavier.

1.  Everyone is entitled to an opinion, but you seem to have gotten upset whenever people don't agree with yours.  Posting comments that you don't like the design of the website is fine, but don't get bent out of shape when you find out that you hold a minority opinion.

2.  You will never ever in life just get positive comments.  Negative comments are a part of life, especially when you are developing something.  Not everyone will stroke your ego with praise.

3.  On threats to hack the forum - don't even think about it.  Your IP address will both be turned over to the authorities and your ISPs abuse department.

Sorry Xavier, but not everyone is just going to say good things about you.

I havent really been on the forums anymore since mofo is pretty much already dead.... but why is everyone hating xavier?... He has done alot for us and everytime i talk to him hes workin on somethin different for mofo. I think he just cares ALOT for mobile forces... I would be pissed off to if i made a map and everyone just b*tches about it or complains... All hes doing is trying to help ..

And for the IP adress thingy or w/e, there are ways to change your IP adress as a disguise. Not that am supporting the idea he posted of hackin the forum but i would be pissed to if suddenly everyone starts talkin shit about me.
I also heard they were talkin bad about him in the mod section , thinking he wasnt a member? I think talkin behind peoples back is for cowards... Well that was just my opinion, hope you guys dont get pissed at me to... CYa

No one was talking behind his back - at the time that discussion took place, he was a mod and was perfectly capable of participartting in the discussion - which was TBH all more of a joke than anything ... you've seen the way 306 and marty bitch at each other ? caxn you imagine if either of them took that seriously ? it'd be World War 3 every other day on here ...

And don't make a decision on just what Xavier told you Killa, 'cos he has been making many many many errors of behaviour and judgement for weeks now - if he is having trouble with things not relating to Mofo or this forum, then he needs to keep his private life private ... if we can help with anything, then good, but if he just comes on here, and casuses trouble because he's in a bad mood, or is drunk. and then decides to take it badly when people disagree with his ranting and raving, then he needs to grow up.
